Dr. Charles Oatman, a former drummer boy in the Civil
War, had this house built for his family in 1875. A classic
example of Gothic Revival Architecture, this house with its
"gingerbread" trim now stands as an historic landmark
in downtown Collinsville. With an emphasis on preserving the
Victorian decor inside, the Oatman Haus offers visitors the
opportunity to step back in time to enjoy the quaint atmosphere
of an era gone by. Located on the corner of East Main and
Aurora, we are very easy to locate in Collinsville. You can
dine in and enjoy our well-preserved establishment and beautiful
surroundings while you relax, or call ahead and carry out

She will offer fine English tea parties and English pastries
at the Tea Room at 501 East Main Street in Collinsville. Private
tea parties in the afternoons can be made by reservation for
groups from 2 to 35.
